After last year, I have already done a lot of software development side of MDC. I trained machine learning models(figure 1), and made difficult system diagrams (figure 2). Which left me satisfied with the development in here, and put less of a focus on developing this area during my internship. I did do research and data analysis for both projects at my internship. I didn’t do any explicit user tests or surveys. I did extract semantics and needs from comments during stakeholder meetings and company visits. For my FBP I could certainly improve on this and carry forward on the trend of interviewing and contacting more of the users I design for.
During my workgroup for Innovation and automation the topic of real time traffic data arose, and how different stakeholders are dealing with this. (Figure 3) This was a conversation where I could participate and speak up a ton, because of my understanding of code and how data gets handled in these systems. It was an example of how my knowledge can be applied even out of context.
